Conformity to description

Our products are handcrafted from natural materials. While we make every effort to comply with description, there may be slight variations from product to product as irregularities in colour, grain or texture of products cannot be controlled and provide you with the unique product you are looking to purchase. LyZadie Design Studio will not be liable for any such variances or irregularities.

General

All product orders are subject to these terms. No other terms and conditions apply, except as required by law.

Looking after your products

Natural materials require care to look their best. Key tips for looking after your products are as follow. Note recommendations are a guide only.

All our products are designed for indoor use only unless expressly stated. Please keep your products away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not use harsh cleaning products like oils or solvents.

Always use coasters to avoid scratches.

All products

LyZadie Design Studio guarantees that all products sold are free from manufacturing faults and defects for a period of 12 months from the date of original delivery.

The warranty guarantee does not cover:

  • Any breakage caused by negligent and/or improper use of the products or damage due to force or accident.
  • Changes caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Any damage caused by lack of and/or improper maintenance or a failure to comply with the specified care instructions.
  • Degradation of finish caused by environmental factors.

Brass

Remove dust with a soft lint free cloth.  If you wish to restore the shine use Brasso or similar product in accordance with the instructions.

Timber

To enjoy your furniture for many years please follow these simple instructions:

 Care Information

  • It is advisable that hot containers (coffee cups) be placed on heat resistant pads (coasters). Objects that can be comfortably held in the hand can generally be placed on the furniture.
  • If any sticky marks (e.g. raspberry jam, tomato sauce etc) need to be removed use a damp cloth (well wrung out so that is not wet) with luke warm mild soapy water and wipe off with a dry cloth.
  • Care should be taken that wet items are not placed on the table surface as white moisture marks may be left on the oiled finish. We recommend using coasters for any cold bottles/glasses that have condensation on the outside of the glass to prevent a pale ring mark forming on the surface of the table.
  • Any spilt liquid should be wiped up immediately and preferably not allowed to dry.

General Maintenance Care

Please follow these care instructions to further maintain the finish on your table.

For general maintenance please use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner (3029) available directly from Natural Oils Ltd, 218H Marua Road, Mt Wellington, Auckland. Phone 09 575 9849 www.naturaloils.co.nz

The Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner is available as a 400ml aerosol spray can.

  1. Spray a light film of Osmo Wax Cleaner on the table surface
  2. Rub sparingly into the surface along the direction of the grain with a soft lint free cloth. The wax is formulated to rejuvenate and clean at the same time.
  3. Wait 5 minutes then remove any excess spray using the same cloth.
  4. Polish/buff the area using a soft clean lint free cloth.

Refurbishment

If signs of wear and tear are more substantial, the table should be re-treated with Osmo Polyx Oil (3032) available through Natural Oils Ltd.

  1. Shake Osmo Oil (3032) bottle well before using.
  2. Roll a cotton cloth into a tight ball and place a small amount of Osmo Oil on the cloth.
  3. Rub sparingly into the surface along the direction of the grain.
  4. Wait 10-20 minutes then remove any excess oil using the same cloth.
  5. Polish/buff the area using a soft clean cotton cloth.

NB. Used oily rags should be stored in a plastic zip lock bag to prevent air circulation and possible self-combustion. If disposing of an oily rag thoroughly wet thoroughly with water and dispose in a ziplock bag.

The table should only need to be oiled once a year under normal domestic use but can be re-oiled more frequently if required.

Price and invoicing

All prices are in NZ dollars and exclude GST. For international orders, GST will be excluded.

Prices quoted exclude delivery, installation, insurance in transit, handling charges, local taxes or equivalent. Third party charges are your responsibility except as expressly agreed by us in writing.

Payment is due within 10 days following which we will start processing your order. 

Shipment and delivery

We will confirm the period of shipment or delivery upon acceptance of an order. This is subject to change depending on your destination and any circumstances that are out of the control of LyZadie Design Studio. Because our products are crafted by third parties, we will not be liable for any delay in delivery but will do our best to ensure that you get the products within the timeframes specified.

LyZadie Design Studio and our freight partner accept no liability for any loss or damage if you give authority for the courier to leave our products with a third party or left unattended (location nominated by you).

You may be responsible for additional costs for unusual access not advised in writing and if the nominated site is not ready to accept the products on the delivery date. If you fail to provide us with any appropriate instructions, documents, licences or authorisations for the delivery to be completed, we reserve the right to invoice you all additional costs that this may incur.

If there are any faults with your purchase on receipt of the goods, please make contact within 48 hours of receiving the order.

Sales Terms & Shipping

Additional online shipment & delivery terms

All Online Orders are dealt with through: – Should any issues arise please contact this email address. As soon as you place an order with LyZadie Design Studio you will receive an email confirmation. Please contact the email above should you not receive this within 48 hours.

Small, Medium, Large or Oversized Orders will be delivered via Post or Courier and costs will be calculated based on weight and distance in the checkout. Please note, for delivery of large items to remote areas, we may be required to obtain a quote separately, and a customer service member will contact you directly.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Order is final once invoice payment has been made. Please choose carefully, as all of our pieces are hand made to order. We do not provide refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision.

Inspection of all products is required on delivery or if the item is picked-up, same day inspection is expected. Notification of any damages or shortages in performance is required within 48 hours to your sales representative. Damages and shortages will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

If a return is agreed upon between both parties, you agree to return the Goods in their original condition and original sealed packaging to our nominated returns store or depot. If failure to do so this and damage is incurred in transit to LyZadie Design Studio, all costs will be directed to you and payment must be fulfilled within 48 hours from notification.

No exchange or refunds under any circumstances will be accepted for clearance or sale items.

Refunds for the dissatisfaction with colour, grain, veining or texture of wood, marble and leather because of natural variations of which LyZadie Design Studio has no control, will not be accepted. LyZadie Design Studio only chooses from the top 10% of these materials. Presence of such irregularities and subtle imperfections are evidence of the handmade. This must be accepted before the Sale is processed.

Conformity to description

Upon purchase of a LyZadie Design Studio product, the purchaser accepts that LyZadie Design Studio products are handcrafted from natural materials. While LyZadie Design Studio perform every effort to conform to description – slight variations in size, finish and material performance including flexing may occur. There can be no control of irregularities in colour, grain, veining or texture of products that include glass, brass, earth, clay, metal like blackened steel, recycled plastic, flax, timber, marble, fabrics made of natural fibre or leather. Sales collateral such as material samples, photographs, drawings and any other particulars associated or involved in the sale of the goods, is used for reference purposes only. We will not be liable for any such variances or inconsistencies.

Definitions

Agreement means a contract between us and you for the sale and purchase of the Goods. Goods mean physical goods agreed by both parties to be supplied by us to you. Quotation means the form, tender or quotation submitted by us to you regarding the Goods.

Invoice means the sales invoice issued by us to you which is subject to these terms and conditions.

Design requests & modifications

LyZadie Design Studio offer custom modifications to limited existing product ranges subject to LyZadie Design Studio’s approval. Please acknowledge that requests for custom products outside our existing ranges prompt a more comprehensive submission and approval.

All requests must be submitted and approved in writing.

LyZadie Design Studio have the right to decline all submissions.

General

These sales terms apply between LyZadie Design Studio and the Person named on a Quotation, Sales Order or Invoice regarding you buying from us the Goods, on and subject to an Agreement. Orders made in store, over the phone, via email or through our Online Store are subject to these terms.

Sales Terms must be accepted or orders will not be processed.

No other terms and conditions apply to this Agreement.

Lead times

Lead times are as specified on the website or by your Sales Person however this can be subject to current stock levels and the availability of materials from outside suppliers at the time of purchase.

LyZadie Design Studio will not be liable for any claiming arising for delay or failure in delivery as a result of strikes, accidents or any cause or event beyond the reasonable control of the company.

Order confirmation & amendments

Once the agreed payment has been received by LyZadie Design Studio, your order from the corresponding Invoice will be processed. Any request for subsequent changes must be submitted in writing to your Sales Representative. There is no guarantee that the requested change can be made. For online orders, please contact .

LyZadie Design Studio asks that all Goods and their relevant details be finalised at the Quotation stage before the Invoice is raised.

Price

All prices for Goods processed on the Online Store or through a New Zealand based Sales Representative are quoted in NZD and include GST.

For all International Orders – Invoices do not include GST

Unless otherwise stated by us in writing, the prices quoted in a Quotation or Invoice exclude delivery, installation, insurance in transit, handling charges or any other charge for a Good.

Shipment and delivery

On acceptance of an order, we may confirm the period of shipment or delivery. This is subject to change depending on your destination and any circumstances that are out of the control of LyZadie Design Studio.

We reserve the right to charge additional costs for unusual access not advised in writing and if the nominated site is not ready to accept the Goods on the date agreed upon. If you fail to provide us with any appropriate instructions, documents, licences or authorisations for the delivery to be completed, we reserve the right to Invoice you all additional costs that this may incur.

For international deliveries, LyZadie Design Studio take no responsibility for any taxes or duties incurred once the Goods leave the hands of LyZadie Design Studio. Shipment and delivery operates between business hours 9am – 5pm from Monday through to Friday and does not include public holidays.

Quotations & invoices

Quotations are valid for 30 days or other period as stated on the Quotation.

Quotations are not an obligation to sell the Goods specified.

Invoices are valid for 14 days only. Please contact your sales person to discuss should your Invoice be no longer valid. (Decide on date for everyone to use)

Invoices incur full expectation that the payment will be carried out. Payment amount will be specified on the Invoice.

For international orders, shipping cost will be specified to you on both the Quotation and Invoice but this does not include any duties or taxes incurred once the Goods have been shipped. See Delivery Terms for further details.

Warranty

Warranty

LyZadie Design Studio provides the following warranty terms and conditions for all LyZadie Design Studio products.

All warranty questions or claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and extends only to the original purchaser. Images and proof or manufacturing faults and defects may be requested. The warranty is only valid if a valid claim is made within the Warranty Period in accordance with the following guidelines. Please read the guidelines carefully before filing a claim.

All products

LyZadie Design Studio guarantees that all products sold are free from manufacturing faults and defects for a period of 24 months from the date of original delivery.

The warranty guarantee does not cover:

  • Any breakage caused by negligent and/or improper use of the goods.
  • Changes caused by normal wear and tear
  • Any damage caused by lack of and/or erroneous maintenance. Please see detailed care instructions supplied to you with your product and outlined under Product Care.
  • Any damage due to an accident or force.
  • Degradation of finish caused by environmental factors.

Fabric & Leather — 1 year

LyZadie Design Studio have hand selected fabric and leather that are suitable for the intended use of each product. All meet exacting standards. Leather is a natural product and imperfections can be present. Please see Sales Terms & Shipping for further details in regards to these materials. Warranty will not be accepted unless the damage is clearly visible through mis-handling before changing hands. Fabric will not be warranted unless upon arrival obvious damage to the surface is visible and reported.

Lighting — 3 years

A warranty of 3 years covers all LyZadie Design Studio lighting products. Our warranty covers workmanship and finish of materials 3 years from the date of purchase when subject to normal use and care in an appropriate location. No warranty in any case is valid if joint separation or material surface degradation is a result of the product in an environment subject to direct sunlight, moisture or fluctuating temperatures. The Natural Brass will develop a patina over time – please select this finish carefully as the appearance of the material will change from when you first receive it. This is a natural process of raw brass.

Timber — 5 years structural

A 5 year warranty covers the structural integrity of LyZadie Design Studio products. Any surface abrasions or dents will not be covered if they were not reported immediately upon arrival of your purchase. A selection of images will be requested dependant on the damage reported. The timber products have been crafted by hand with carefully selected timbers suitable for the intended use of the product. It is a natural product and can change with environmental variables. Humidity and fluctuating temperatures that causes bowing or joint separation are not warranted. No warranty will be accepted where sun or heat exposure damage is the visible cause.

Upholstery — 5 years

All LyZadie Design Studio products are upholstered by professional tradesmen. The warranty applies only when the product has been used sensibly and as its function is intended. Any fabric pulls visible between seams and/or cording must be reported upon arrival of your product. Images will be requested.

Outdoor use

No LyZadie Design Studio products are designed or manufactured for outdoor use or placement unless specified as Outdoor Furniture. Warranty claims will not be accepted in any case.

Shipping terms

LyZadie Design Studio will cover all costs involved in the repair excluding any transport or freight costs associated with the approved claim. Products both for under warranty and post warranty repairs are the sole responsibility of the customer. The customer also assumes full liability for losses or damages resulting from shipping as well as all responsibility to pursue remuneration for such issues with their selected carrier.
