Earth Day is Every Day
It is this awe of our natural surroundings that inspires us to make work at the studio. To see nature, writ large all around us is what drew us to this country, and then to paint her hues in every design, every work we make.

“There are moments in life that go beyond the ordinary, that add depth and dimension to our existence. Whether it’s art, music or another form of expression, each moment is like a gift.”
New collection, EARTH&SKY, pairs rammed earth and clear glass in a union that is timeless, effortlessly graceful, and honours the resources in our local environment.
At LyZadie Design Studio we have made five concrete commitments to ensure our social and environmental focus is unwavering. We want to start the year 2020 by talking about them as they are the core of our design studio and brand.
Lyzadie is inspired by this land when she designs a collection. We asked her how the Black Tree Fern inspired her to design dining tables, side tables, sideboards and armoires. We also take a peek into Lyzadie’s creative process from idea to product.
In this collaboration we are blurring the lines between furniture and art. Every piece of furniture in our collections has a soul, a story to tell and we believe that showcasing our furniture and home accessories as art and collaborating with an artist who brings details and moments of life to our attention is a rich story to tell and one worth sharing.
Our collaboration with these extraordinary craftspeople is a very rich and fulfilling one. Without their excellent skills and knowledge of their materials our creations would not come to life. Who are the New Zealand makers behind all our collections?
Sustainable luxury is at the core of our design studio at LyZadie Design Studio. We want to introduce other designers who are making a positive impact in their industries. Here Lyzadie talks to New Zealand fashion designer Maggie Hewitt about her brand and sustainable luxury.
This year has been a busy one for the design studio. We caught up with head designer and creative director Lyzadie after her return from Milan Design Week and asked her for her top ten take outs from one of the world’s biggest and best design fair.
At a time when our actions have impacted this planet’s ecosystem in a negative way, we need to rethink our actions.
We question the role of luxury today.
